This post is being written from a height of 10,000 feet. Why? Because i’m flying that high up in the air. 🙂 (Not literally… just that i m happy enuf to be there in spirit)
First, this is Esha’s 100th post (thank you thank you thank you)
Second, Remember i spoke earlier about a central place where we could access all Indian language audio content scattered all over the web?
WELL.. guess what.. in a first across the globe – we’ve DONE IT!!!!
Go to www.braillecards.org/audio.htm – and you will see a tree structure with 170 files.. and here is the magic… this file structure has free files from all the sites – the entire Indian collection of librivox.org, some stuff from Inclusive Planet, and some stuff from archive.org. IN A SINGLE INTERFACE!!
At some sites, like Inclusive Planet, , a simple login is required. That is the user’s decision. We are putting together everything we find everywhere in Indian languages.
This will make it possible for users to find if the content they want is available anywhere on the web. The link will take them directly to the file, and there, they can choose to use it.
At this time, i am not including paid audio books in this list, but the plan is to include them by and by.. the Google of Audio Books is finally here!!!
Please please go through the interface and provide suggestions.. we really need all the support we can get.. 🙂
